Chris Janes
Chris has been involved with drama for over 20 years as an actor and director. In 2005, after working with Bret Yount (BASSC Master Teacher), he started training in stage combat achieving distinctions in all tests. Chris now hires weaponry to theatre, film, TV and webmedia productions and works as a fight choreographer and actor combatant.
Acting credits include “K” for allEnquiries Productions London, many leading roles for Shattered Windscreen Theatre Company and Hilt in “Tycan Tournament – I Mudd” for Independent Drama/I Dare Productions. Fight choreography credits include “The Quest” for New Vic Productions, “Cyrano De Bergerac” for Shattered Windscreen Theatre Company and “Puss in Boots” for The Pantomime Company. Chris has also supplied weaponry for many productions both professional and amateur.
Ilona Kahn
Ilona has ten years’ experience as a freelance designer and an honours degree in Design for Stage from the Central School of Speech and Drama,
She has experience in theatre, digital video and film including working at Pinewood and Holborn studios. She has designed across a wide range of periods and styles, working with directors, performers and crew to ensure both costumes and set enhance the project, even when on a limited budget.
Most recently Ilona has worked with the Impact Fight Unit to design costume that enables ease of movement for fight performances and continues to work on outfits for a variety of shows and productions. She also makes costumes and props for hire and sale, along with constructing sets, hats, jewellery, armour, ‘corpses’, latex weaponry: the more bizarre the requirement the better!
Karen Janes
Karen has many years’ experience in industry, having gained a degree in Business Administration. She has worked in client management, supplier management, marketing, communications and project and event management.
Within Cutting Edge she takes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business and marketing. She is also responsible for the overall management of large scale projects and acts as the company’s events manager, having had experience of running many large scale events.
